Terms and Conditions

By signing in to or using SMDD Biz Connect, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You also confirm that you are authorised by the company you represent to accept these Terms on its behalf.

SMDD Biz Connect helps participating companies discover potential business partners before and during the SMDD event on 23–24 October 2026. The platform lets you publish a company profile, receive partner recommendations, send and receive partnership requests, and book meeting rooms at the event.

The platform is invitation-only. It is provided for business purposes and is not open to the general public.

• Access is granted to a designated representative of each participating company. You must be at least 18 years old.
• We sign you in using a one-time link sent to the business email address registered for your company, so there is no password to remember. Anyone with access to that mailbox can sign in as you — please keep it secure.
• Do not share your sign-in link, and do not let anyone outside your company use your account.
• Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• Your company name is fixed at onboarding and cannot be changed by you afterwards. Changes to other locked fields require an edit request approved by an administrator.

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information in your company profile, and keep it up to date.
• Only submit the contact details of a person who has agreed to be your designated contact and to be contacted by other participants.
• Do not misrepresent your company, your role, or your authority to enter into discussions.
• Take your own commercial and legal decisions about any partner you choose to engage with.

When using SMDD Biz Connect you must not:

• Use contact details obtained through the platform to send unsolicited marketing, spam, or bulk messages;
• Scrape, harvest, copy, or export participant data other than through features we provide;
• Upload unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or infringing content;
• Attempt to influence your recommendation results improperly, for example by submitting false profile information or creating duplicate company entries;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, to other accounts, or to the systems behind it;
• Interfere with the operation of the platform, including through automated access, scanning, or excessive requests;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the platform.

The platform suggests potential partners based on the information in your company profile and the profiles of other participants, assisted by artificial intelligence.

• Recommendations are informational suggestions only. They are not advice, endorsement, verification, or a guarantee of any business outcome.
• We do not verify the accuracy of information submitted by other participants, and we do not perform due diligence, background checks, or financial screening on any company.
• Recommendations can change as profiles are updated, and administrators may hide or add a pairing for legitimate event operations reasons.
• The completeness of your own profile directly affects the quality and quantity of recommendations you receive.

By using the platform, you agree to receive essential service communications by email. Where you provide or confirm your WhatsApp number, you also consent to receiving service-related communications through WhatsApp. These are transactional messages, not marketing.

You can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us. We will still need to contact you by email for essential service matters such as sign-in links.

• Meeting rooms and time slots are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Some rooms or sessions are reserved for internal Sinar Mas business units and are not bookable by external participants.
• Please cancel a booking you no longer need so the slot can be released. Repeated no-shows may be flagged and may result in booking restrictions.
• Administrators may reschedule, reassign, or cancel a booking where necessary for event operations. We will notify you if this affects you.
• While at the event venue, you must follow the venue's rules and the instructions of event staff.

The platform, including its design, software, text, and the SMDD and Sinar Mas names and logos, belongs to Sinar Mas and its licensors. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the platform and showing your profile to other participants.

SMDD Biz Connect is provided for the duration of the SMDD Biz Connect programme. We aim to keep the platform available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates, or security reasons, and we will give reasonable notice where practicable.

The platform is designed and tested for the current versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and Mozilla Firefox. It may not display or function correctly on other browsers, on earlier versions of these browsers, within in-app browsers embedded in messaging or social media applications, or where JavaScript or cookies are disabled. We do not warrant that the platform will operate on unsupported browsers, and we are not responsible for issues arising from their use.

We may change, add, or remove features at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if your company withdraws from the event, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other participants or to the platform. You may stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sinar Mas will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform — including any loss arising from a business relationship formed through it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indonesian law.

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably. If that fails within 30 days, the dispute will be submitted to the District Court of Central Jakarta (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat).
